Sifuna unveils Equitable Party as 2027 presidential vehicle

Nairobi Senator and Linda Mwananchi leader Edwin Sifuna has unveiled The Equitable Party (TEP) as the political vehicle he will use to pursue the presidency in the 2027 General Election.

Sifuna was formally declared the party leader during the unveiling ceremony held on Sunday marking a new phase in his presidential campaign.

The launch was attended by several prominent political leaders, including governors James Orengo and George Natembeya, as well as senators Godfrey Osotsi, Richard Onyonka and Boni Khalwale.

The Equitable Party is a fully registered political party, with its name appearing in the official list of registered parties.

The move gives Sifuna a formal party platform ahead of the 2027 polls as political parties and alliances position themselves for the elections.
