The one finger salute and chants of “one term” took centre stage on Sunday as Linda Mwananchi leader cum Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna unveiled the Equitable Party, the party he plans to use in his bid for the presidency in the 2027 General Election.
Supporters at the launch repeatedly raised one finger as they chanted “one term”, signalling their backing for Sifuna’s presidential bid as he prepares to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 race.
The launch marks a significant step in Sifuna’s political journey as new political formations and alliances continue to take shape ahead of the 2027 elections.
