Burglars Loot Matungulu Deputy County Commissioner’s Home in Murang’a

Police in Gatanga SubCounty,Murang’a county are investigating a burglary incident in a home of Matungulu Deputy County Commissioner,Machakos county.

Everline Wekesa Muhoho’s home was raided in which property worth thousands of shillings was stolen from.

The home is located in Upperhill Estate, Bahati Sub-Location, Muthuri Location.

According to a report filed at Samuru Police Station on Thursday,the incident occurred between December 29, 2025, and January 14, 2026, at an unknown time.

The theft was reported on January 15, 2026 by Symon Muhoho.

He didn’t indicate in his report whether the Deputy County Commissioner Everline was around during the period of the theft.

Police in their report said that unknown suspects broke into the house by forcefully breaking the front section before making away with a wide range of household and personal items.

Among the stolen property are an LG fridge, a 65-inch LG television, a Lamptom cooker, a gas cylinder, 25 pairs of shoes, assorted clothing, two mountain bicycles, electrical sockets, a car battery, motor vehicle speakers, wipers, and 100 meters of cable.

The suspects also vandalized the house’s electrical wiring.

In addition, the thieves tampered with a Toyota Harrier which was parked outside the compound, and stole its radiator after opening the bonnet.

The total value of the stolen items runs into hundreds of thousands of shillings.

Officers from Ndururumo Police Post visited and processed the scene, but no arrests or recoveries had been made by the time of filing the report.

The case is being handled by the OCS Samuru Police Station as investigations progresses on.
