CS Chirchir’s Helicopter Makes Brief Weather-Related Landing at Suswa Terminus

A helicopter ferrying the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport, Davis Chirchir, made an unexpected but safe landing at Suswa Terminus on today morning due to unfavorable weather conditions.

According to a report filed by the Railways and Port Police Unit at Suswa Terminus at 10:50 a.m., the helicopter was en route to Eldoret when deteriorating weather forced the pilot to land at the station’s parking area as a precautionary measure.

On board were the Cabinet Secretary, his spouse, security personnel, and the pilot,four individuals in total. Police confirmed that all occupants were safe and were temporarily accommodated at the station’s VIP lounge as they awaited improved weather conditions.

In a follow-up report, police indicated that the helicopter later took off safely at 11:04 a.m. after weather conditions improved.

The aircraft proceeded to Eldoret without any incident reported during take off or departure.

Authorities emphasized that the landing and subsequent take off were conducted smoothly and in line with aviation safety procedures.
