DCI launches manhunt for suspect in Kirinyaga murder case

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has issued an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in tracking down a suspect linked to rape and murder of a teacher in Kirinyaga county.

According to the agency, the individual is wanted in connection with the death of the teacher aged 28 years old.

The incident is reported to have occured on March 12, 2026, within the county.

The suspect, who hails from Ngushui Village in Murinduko Location, Mwea Constituency, is currently on the run and is considered dangerous.

Authorities are urging members of the public to remain vigilant and to immediately report any sightings or information that may lead to the suspect’s arrest.

The DCI has assured that all information shared will be handled with strict confidentiality.

Alternatively, reports can be made at any nearest DCI office or police station.
