EXCLUSIVE:Senior Police Officer also joins tree hugging fashion

While the OCPD Belgut and SubCounty Criminal Investigations Officer (SCCIO) were in their offices undertaking routine duties, they were alerted by officers on duty that the OCS, Sosiot Police Station, Chief Inspector Kennedy Wanjala, had engaged in the ongoing tree hugging fashion.
The officers proceeded to the scene and confirmed that the OCS was hugging a tree while in full official police uniform, an act which had attracted a large gathering of members of the public within the station premises.

The officer was safely disengaged from the tree and later spoken to.

Upon engagement, he appeared emotionally distressed and exhibited signs suggestive of depression, thus requiring medical and psychological attention.

Appropriate administrative action according to police has been initiated.
