Fake Police Officers Carjack Man in Ongata Rongai.

A man was carjacked by six hooded men posing as police officers in Ongata Rongai on Monday evening.

According to a report made at Kandisi Police Post, Nimrod Kurgat, 45, was driving into his RIMPA Shopping Centre home around 8:15 PM when the intruders, armed with a pisto like weapon and handcuffs, ordered everyone in the house to lie down.

The assailants robbed the family of mobile phones and used them to transfer money before driving away with Kurgat and his blue Nissan X-Trail (registration KBT 105E) towards Kiserian.

Authorities, including the DCI Ongata Rongai, are pursuing efforts to trace the victim and recover the vehicle.
