Fighting bulls hit,kill toddler in Mumias East

A toddler lost her life yesterday after being caught between two fighting bulls in Mumias East Sub-County.

According to police reports from Shianda Police Station, the incident occurred in the afternoon at Eshimuli Village in Eluche Sub-location.

The matter was first reported by Assistant Chief Stanley Musungu, who received information that two bulls, while fighting hit a young child.

Police officers, accompanied by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mumias East, visited the scene and confirmed the incident.

The deceased, identified as Lavenda Omukara, a one year and six month old girl, was found with no visible external injuries.

Her body was later transferred to St. Mary’s Mission Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a postmortem examination.
