Police in Kabiyet have arrested four suspects in connection with assault, resisting arrest, incitement to violence, and destruction of exhibits involving illicit alcohol.
According to a report filed at Kabiyet Police Station today, the arrests were made at about 4:30 a.m.
The suspects Ednah Jepkorir, Dismas Kipkemboi, Cornelius Kiplimo, and Mourine Jerono were apprehended at Kapisgei Village, Kabisaga Location.
Police said the suspects allegedly assaulted officers and obstructed them while they were carrying out their duties during an operation targeting illicit brew.
The group is also accused of inciting violence and destroying police exhibits, including about 300 litres of kangara seized during the operation.
All four suspects are currently held in police cells and were reported to be in normal condition at the time of booking.
