G3 Rifle Recovered from Honi River in Nyeri Central

Police in Nyeri Central have recovered a G3 rifle from River Honi near Chaka Bridge.

According police report, the firearm was spotted by a Mweiga resident, Gitonga Weru, who alerted police after noticing it submerged in shallow waters at the river base.

Officers who rushed to the scene identified the weapon as a G3 rifle loaded with 20 rounds of ammunition.

The rifle was retrieved and taken to Kabiruini Police Station for safe custody as investigations continue.
