Gang of Juveniles Raid Diani Shop, Worker Injured as Thugs Flee into Thicket

A robbery with violence incident was reported on the evening of January 28, 2026, in Kosovo area of Diani,Kwale County.

The incident left a shop attendant injured and goods worth thousands of shillings stolen.

According to an occurrence report made at Diani Police station,the incident was reported by Abdallah Abdi, a resident of Kosovo area.

Abdi told police that while he was inside his shop, Ahl Rahma, located along the Kosovo–Marrum Road, he was attacked by a group of boys armed with crude weapons.

The attackers made away with foodstuffs valued at approximately Shs.50,000.

During the robbery, a shop worker identified as Ahmed Musa sustained injuries to the fingers of his right hand after being cut with a panga.

Police officers led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Diani responded to the scene, which is near Emyland Academy in Kosovo area.

Preliminary investigations established that the gang consisted of about six juveniles who escaped into a nearby thicket after the attack.

The injured worker was rushed to Msambweni County Referral Hospital, where he was treated and later discharged.

The scene was processed and documented by Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) from Kwale County as efforts to trace and arrest the suspects continue.
