GBV WATCH:Duksi teacher arrested in Mandera over child defilement allegations

Police in Mandera East have arrested a Duksi teacher accused of defiling a minor aged five years in Bulla Tawakal Two.

The case has once again raised concern over the safety of children in learning environments.

According to an official report recorded at Mandera Police Station yesterday a few minutes past the incident was reported by the minor, identified as ccxxx, who was accompanied by her mother a resident of the area.

The complainant alleged that the offence occurred on April 6, 2026, and identified the suspect as Mohamed Adan Noor, her duksi teacher and a person known to her.

Police officers responded swiftly and escorted the minor to Mandera County Referral Hospital, where she underwent medical examination and received treatment.

A P3 form was duly completed as part of the investigation process.

She was later discharged and the arrested suspect is expected to be arraigned before the Mandera Law courts today.
