GBV WATCH:Three arrested in gang rape incident in Mau Summit

Police in Kuresoi North,Nakuru county have arrested three suspects in connection with a gang rape incident reported in Kamara area near Mau Summit.

The victim, aged 21 year old from Kamara Trading Centre, reported that the ordeal began on the evening of March 25, 2026 at around 8:00 p.m.

She stated that while heading home from a nearby stage, she was confronted by a man known to her who attempted to drag her behind Neema Private Hospital.

Her screams attracted the attention of a watchman who intervened and rescued her.

However, shortly afterward at around 8:30 p.m., as she continued her journey home, the same man allegedly returned in the company of two other individuals.

The trio reportedly overpowered her, dragged her into a nearby bush, and sexually assaulted her in turns.

Police officers from Kamara Police Post responded swiftly after receiving the report, visiting the scene and launching an operation that led to the arrest of three suspects identified as Dennis Kipgetich, Gideon Kiprotich and Brian Kiptoo all residents of the area.

The victim was escorted to Molo Sub-County Hospital, where she received treatment and was later discharged in stable condition.

Medical documentation, including P3 and PRC forms, was duly completed to support the investigation.

The suspects were booked at Mau Summit Police Station and we re expected to be arraigned at Molo Law Courts today.

Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
