By Our Reporter,Narok.

The Narok Journalist Community Based Organization (NJCBO) successfully held a girl empowerment program at Masikonde Secondary School, aimed at inspiring, supporting, and mentoring young learners.

The event was well received by the students and marked an important step toward promoting education, confidence, and social awareness among girls and boys within the school community.

The empowerment initiative was organized in collaboration with Loyce Manduvure and other dedicated teachers of Masikonde Secondary School, whose commitment played a key role in the success of the event.

During the program, the girls expressed great joy and appreciation for the organization’s presence and support.

They openly requested continued assistance, especially the provision of more sanitary pads in future visits, highlighting a critical need that directly affects their education and well-being.

In addition, the students and organizers raised concerns about security around the school, which is located in the Majengo area where many parents are vulnerable.

The Narok Journalist Community Based Organization joined the school in encouraging the County Government of Narok to consider installing street lights to enhance safety for students, especially during early mornings and evenings.

Through this empowerment program, both girls and boys were urged to identify and choose their career paths at an early stage, fostering focus, ambition, and responsible decision making for a brighter future.
