IPA Kenya Closes 2025 with Community Outreach to Children’s Home in Nairobi

The International Police Association (IPA) Kenya Section, in collaboration with the IPA Germany Section, marked the end of 2025 with community outreach activities aimed at supporting vulnerable children in Nairobi.

The event reinforced the organisation’s guiding principle of service through friendship.

On the final day of the year, IPA members visited the Children’s Garden Home & School in Uthiru, marking their second engagement with the institution.

The return visit highlighted the Association’s commitment to sustained community partnerships and the strengthening of relationships built during a similar visit the previous year.

The visit was characterised by a warm and celebratory atmosphere as children from the home entertained guests with song and dance performances.

Displays by children at the home reflected confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm, creating moments of joy and interaction between the children and IPA members.

In addition to the entertainment, the Association delivered food supplies and clothing donated by members of the IPA Kenya Section.

The outreach was led by the IPA Kenya President, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jared Ojuok together with Daniel Lorch of the IPA Germany Section.

Additional donations of clothing and diapers were received from friends of the Association, including Dr. Marietta Reformado and the Cutchi Gujarati Hindu Union Shiv Temple (CGHU).

According to the organisers, the contributions helped address immediate needs at the home while fostering a spirit of solidarity and support.

The donors were acknowledged for their role in ensuring the success of the outreach activity.

At the same time, a separate team of IPA Kenya members carried out a parallel initiative at the Cerebral Palsy Society of Kenya, where diapers and clothing were donated to support children with special needs.

The initiative ensured that assistance reached multiple vulnerable groups within the city.

“Our outreach activities formed part of IPA Kenya’s end of year community service programme, reflecting the Association’s broader mission of promoting friendship, cooperation, and positive engagement beyond the policing profession,”said Ojuok.

The International Police Association is a non governmental organisation that brings together serving and retired police officers without distinction of rank, gender, race, language, or religion.

Its mission is to foster friendship, promote international cooperation, and enhance the image of policing through social, cultural, and professional activities.

Through these end of year initiatives, IPA Kenya concluded 2025 with a renewed emphasis on service, partnership, and community engagement.
