KAA Staffer Decries Delayed Reinstatement Despite Court Order

By Our Correspondent,Nairobi.

A staff member at the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), Hesbon Odiaga, who obtained a court order for his reinstatement on February 13 this year, says he has yet to resume duty despite the ruling.

Odiaga is now appealing to KAA Chairman Caleb Kositany to intervene and facilitate his return to work. He argues that his case should be handled in the same manner as that of a female security officer who was dismissed during the tenure of former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and later reinstated following a court order.

The officer had allegedly insisted that Dr. Matiang’i undergo standard security screening procedures, reportedly unaware at the time that she was addressing the then Interior CS.
