According to a report filed at Laare Police Station, the Sub county DCIO Criminal received a distress call indicating that members of the public had apprehended a suspect and were about to subject him to mob justice.

The DCI boss accompanied by officers and using an official motor vehicle, rushed to the scene and found a man suspect surrounded by boda boda riders who were demanding to punish him.

Police intervened and rescued the suspect from the hostile crowd.

Preliminary investigations established that the suspect, identified as Imran Stephen Mwenda alias Kevin, had been operating a TikTok account under the name “Blessed Boy”, which displayed a KDF logo.

Using the account, he allegedly deceived a woman identified as Perpetua Wanja, falsely claiming to be a serving KDF officer.
