Makau Leads Machakos Gubernatorial Opinion Poll with 41% Support

By Our Reporter,Machakos.

A new voter opinion poll conducted in Machakos County has placed Patrick Makau, the Mavoko Member of Parliament, at the top of the gubernatorial popularity ratings with 41 percent support.

The survey, carried out by Microtrak Research Africa, shows that Makau enjoys a significant lead over other potential contenders in the county.

According to the poll results, former State House senior official Nzioka Waita ranks second with 27 percent, while the incumbent Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti comes third with 25 percent support.

Other candidates collectively garnered 5 percent, while 2 percent of respondents remain undecided on who they would vote for.

The poll suggests a potentially competitive race for the Machakos gubernatorial seat should the current trends hold, with Makau emerging as the early frontrunner ahead of his closest rivals.

However, Microtrak Research Africa is a relatively lesser-known polling firm, and analysts note that opinion polls can change significantly as the election period approaches.
