Make Me Your Habitation, Lord.

Pastor Vincent Roy Agoya.

“Let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” — Exodus 25:8.

When God spoke these words to Israel, He revealed His deepest desire, not merely to rescue his people, but to dwell with them.

From the wilderness tabernacle to the promise fulfilled in Christ, God has always sought a habitation, a resting place among those who welcome Him.

To pray, “Make me Your habitation, Lord,” is to invite more than a visitation.

A visitation is temporary; a habitation is permanent. It is asking God not just to touch our lives, but to take residence in our hearts.

The fear of the Lord prepares that dwelling place.

Reverence cleanses the inner sanctuary. Hunger for His Word furnishes it.

Obedience strengthens its foundation. We cannot host His presence casually. A habitation requires surrender, laying down pride, secret sins, distractions, and self-rule.

When we become His habitation, our thoughts begin to align with His heart.

Our words carry grace. Our atmosphere shifts. Peace replaces anxiety. Conviction replaces compromise.

His presence within us becomes more real than the pressures around us.

God does not seek perfect vessels,he seeks yielded ones.

The tabernacle in the wilderness was built from willing hearts.

In the same way,he dwells where He is welcomed.

Today, whisper this prayer:
“Lord, cleanse my heart. Remove what grieves You. Fill every room of my life. Do not merely visit—abide. Make me Your habitation.”
Where He dwells, life flourishes.
