Man Fatally Stabbed Over Alleged Affair with Suspect’s Mother in Ndanai.

A 32 year-old man, identified as Gilbert Kiplangat Bett, was murdered in Bonyoriot Village late Monday night following a family dispute.

According to police reports from Ndanai Police Station, the incident occurred at around 1.30am when Bett allegedly visited the home of Betty Bett.

A violent altercation broke out between him and Betty’s son, Hillary Cheruiyot Sang, reportedly over suspicions that Bett was involved with his mother.

Bett sustained a fatal stab wound to the left side of his neck and died on the spot.

The suspect fled the scene, and the weapon used in the attack has not been recovered.

Officers from Ndanai Police and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) processed the scene and transferred the body to Kapkatet Mortuary Hospital pending an autopsy.

The case is currently under investigation by the SCI officers at Sotik.
