According to police, the incident was reported at Songor Police Post by a businesswoman, Jennifer Cheptoo, who informed officers that an unidentified man had been killed at the trading centre.
A team of officers from Achego Police Station led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS), together with detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Muhoroni, rushed to the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased, identified as Isaac Kipsang Limo, 33, from Kamelilo Location in Tinderet Sub-County, Nandi County, had reportedly been drinking before engaging in a dispute with four men.
During the altercation, Limo allegedly bit one of the men, Gedion Kimngetich, 32, on the lower lip and tongue.

Kimngetich was later arrested when he went to Songor Police Post to report an assault incident.
