DNK International Nation Photojournalist Evans Habil has been discharged from Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi after undergoing treatment for injuries sustained during a brutal attack.
Habil was reportedly assaulted on Tuesday by panga-wielding gangsters along Naivasha Road in the Kawangware area. The incident has sparked widespread concern among Kenyans over rising insecurity and the presence of criminal gangs operating in parts of the capital.
Following the attack, citizens and civil society voices have renewed calls on the country’s security agencies to intensify efforts to dismantle organized criminal networks and enhance public safety.
Authorities have yet to issue a comprehensive statement on arrests or investigations related to the incident.
