Police officers from Kiambu Police Station have arrested two suspected notorious criminals and recovered an assortment of items believed to be used in stupefying and fraud related activities.
The suspects, Daniel Gitau Ngaruiya (45) and Eudis Wangare Irungu (30), were arrested at about 2:10pm in Kiamumbi Ward, Kiambu East Sub-County, approximately three kilometres fromKiambu Police Station.
According to police reports, officers acting on intelligence apprehended the duo before conducting a search at their residential house.
During the operation, police recovered several mobile phones, a national identification card, chemicals stored in plastic bottles, a communication radio complete with its charging system, and fake United States dollar currency notes, among other items.
Police believe the recovered exhibits are linked to stupefying and fraud schemes targeting unsuspecting members of the public.
The suspects were escorted to Kiambu Police Station, where they are currently being held in custody.
They are expected to be arraigned in court on Monday, February 9, 2026, to face charges related to stupefying and fraud.
