Police in Nandi County have arrested a primary school teacher following a defilement report involving an underage girl.
According to a report filed at Tinderet Police Station, the suspect,a teacher at Kiptechgaa Primary School and a resident of Kapkoros Location in Tinderet Sub-County, was apprehended after a follow up on a case earlier recorded at Songhor Police Station on January 13.
Police in their report state that the alleged incident occurred on May 20, 2025.
The matter was initially reported at Meteitei Police Station on May 20 last year.
Police confirmed that the suspect is in custody and is expected to be arraigned and charged in court tomorrow (Thursday).
