Probox Van Vanishes During Church Pilgrimage at Komarock Shrine

A family pilgrimage turned into distress on Saturday after a motor vehicle was stolen outside a popular religious site in Matungulu,Machakos County.

According to a police report filed at KBC Police Station, the incident occurred today during a diocesan annual pilgrimage at Komarock Shrine.

The vehicle owner, Ancent Nthiwa Musyoki, reported that he had driven his family to the pilgrimage at around 10:00 a.m. using his Toyota Probox, registration KBR 231X, silver metallic in colour.

He parked the vehicle along the busy Nairobi–Kangundo Road near the shrine before joining other worshippers.
However, when he returned to the parking area at approximately 1:30 p.m., the vehicle was nowhere to be found.

He immediately reported the matter to the police.

Police officers at KBC Police Station circulated the vehicle’s details across all stations to aid in tracing and recovery.

Investigations into the theft are ongoing, with the case currently listed as Pending Under Investigation (PUI).

Authorities have urged members of the public with any information that may lead to the recovery of the vehicle or arrest of suspects to report to the nearest police station.
