A road traffic accident involving Russian diplomats occurred early today along the busy Naivasha–Nakuru Highway at Ihindu area
The accident left several people with slight injuries.
Police from Naivasha traffic base confirmed that the accident happened at 7.30 a.m. and involved three vehicles heading in opposite directions.
Police indicated that the embassy vehicle was attempting to overtake when it collided head on with the Mitsubishi.
As a result of the crash, the driver of the Mitsubishi sustained chest pains and bruises on both hands.
He was rushed to Nairobi Women’s Hospital for treatment.
Two passengers in the embassy vehicle, identified as Dmitry Ashabv and Atanislau Petron, were also injured and taken to a hospital in Nairobi for medical check up.
Police visited the scene and took necessary action.
