President William Ruto today hosted Muslim faithful for an Eid ul-Fitr luncheon at the Kisumu State Lodge.
However, Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi stood out during the event, as photos circulating online showed him dressed differently from other attendees, most of whom wore traditional Islamic attire. His outfit sparked mixed reactions, with some social media users invoking the saying, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”
Meanwhile, President Ruto used the occasion to emphasize his administration’s focus on development over political rivalry.
“I will use one percent of my time advising the opposition to become better leaders, and 99 percent of my time developing the country,” said the President during the luncheon.
