After being away for some time, Sultani Makenga, the military commander of the M23 resurfaced on Monday and personally presided over the pass-out of more than 1,500 newly trained commandos of the M23-linked Congolese Revolutionary Army at Rumangabo in North Kivu.
His come back follows a drone strike that claimed the lives of several M23 soldiers including the group’s spokesperson Willy Ngoma.
