While the ODM party is said to favor his candidacy, reports from the grassroots suggest his popularity is waning. In a strategic move to regain momentum and boost his visibility, Aladwa is enlisting the support of Bunge la Mwananchi.
On March 7, 2026, he officially launched a new branch of the movement at Tena Grounds in Embakasi West. It remains to be seen whether these efforts will allow him to match the popularity and crowd-pulling power of his primary rival for the seat, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
