By Our Reporter,TransMara.

Leaders from Transmara West and Transmara East have continued to pour heartfelt tributes and messages of condolence to the family of the late Emurua Dikir MP Johana Ngeno.

They have described him as a courageous, outspoken, and people centered leader whose voice will be greatly missed in the region.

Among those who paid glowing tribute to the late MP who perished in a chopper crash along other individuals in Mosop,Nandi county was his neighbor and fellow politician, Johana Kamilan, who remembered the late Ngeno as a steadfast defender of his constituents and the ordinary mwananchi whenever their rights were violated.

Kamilan noted that Ngeno was never afraid to stand firm in the face of injustice, regardless of the situation.

He described him as a leader who believed that leadership is not about titles, but about service to the people.

Kamilan recalled the recent incidents in Angata Barrikoi, where tensions had risen and residents felt aggrieved.

According to him the late MP stood with the community, advocating for justice and ensuring that the concerns of the people were heard by the relevant authorities.

He emphasized that Ngeno always prioritized dialogue and lawful engagement as a way of resolving disputes affecting his people.

He also remembered that just a day before his passing,Ngeno had gone to show solidarity with a grieving family whose relative had been swept away by water at the Mara River.

This, Kamilan said, was a true reflection of the kind of leader he was, compassionate, accessible, and deeply connected to the struggles of ordinary citizens.

“He did not only speak in public forums,” Kamilan stated, “but he walked with the people in their moments of sorrow and stood with them in times of crisis.”

As the region continues to mourn, Kamilan urged local leaders to desist from engaging in divisive local politics during this difficult period.

He called upon leaders across political divides to unite in honoring the legacy of the fallen leader and to focus on maintaining peace and stability in Transmara.

He further appealed to residents to remain calm and respectful as the community prepares to lay their leader to rest.

According to him, the greatest tribute befitting Ngeno would be to uphold peace, unity, and the values of justice and service that he championed throughout his life.

The passing of Ngeno according to many leaves a significant gap in the leadership of Transmara, but his legacy of courage, advocacy, and dedication to the common citizen will continue to inspire current and future generations.
