A flood is overwhelming, sudden, and seemingly unstoppable,it threatens to sweep away your peace, your progress, and your hope. There are seasons where challenges don’t just knock at the door; they rush at you from every angle.
But the promise here is precise: the moment the enemy attempts to overwhelm you, the Holy Spirit intervenes. In ancient warfare, the “standard” was the king’s royal banner.Erecting the standard meant the sovereign king had claimed the ground, rallied the army, and declared an immediate counter-attack. The enemy is completely powerless against the standard of the Almighty.
When doors are resisting and pressures are rising, you do not have to fight the flood in your own strength. The Spirit of the Lord is already moving to check the enemy’s advance, reverse the tide, and secure your breakthrough.
Stop looking at the height of the flood waters and start looking at the One holding the banner over your life. Whatever crisis or roadblock is rushing against you today, verbally declare Isaiah 59:19 over it. Step back, let the Spirit of the Lord raise His standard, and watch the opposition retreat.
