Linda Mwananchi Movement leader Edwin Sifuna (centre) and NEDP party leader Mike Sonko (left), who arrived in Homa Bay town on Saturday night, have vowed that today’s movement rally in the town will proceed despite reports that alleged goons have barricaded roads leading into the town.
The two leaders called on police to ensure adequate security and remove any illegal roadblocks to allow the rally to proceed peacefully.
They urged residents and supporters to remain calm and exercise restraint as security agencies work to maintain law and order.
