KRA Assistant Manager found dead at Nairobi home

A Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) assistant manager was found dead at her home in Sun Valley Estate, Lang’ata, Nairobi, in what police are treating as a suspected death by suicide.

Police said 41 year old Charity Tubarandi Kigera was found hanging from a closet drawer with a lesso tied around her neck after officers responded to a report made by her relative on Thursday evening.

The master bedroom was locked from inside, prompting officers to break down the door to gain entry.

No suicide note was found at the scene.

Crime Scene Investigation officers processed and documented the scene before the body was moved to Lee Funeral Home, where it is awaiting autopsy.

The incident was reported at Lang’ata Police Station on Thursday evening.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Lang’ata is investigating the case, which remains pending.
