A 68 year old man of Arab origin has been kidnapped from his home in Bombolulu Sport, Nyali, by a woman and four men who allegedly claimed to be police officers.
According to a report made at Nyali Police Station, Mohamed Ali was abducted at around 9:30pm on Friday with the suspects reportedly driving a Subaru vehicle.
His wife, Amina Omar, told police that her husband later called and informed her that the kidnappers were demanding Sh500,000 in ransom.
The suspects had allegedly already withdrawn Sh300,000 from the wife’s phone after taking it from her.
The suspects reportedly threatened to take Mohamed to Nairobi and warned his wife that she would never see him again if the ransom demand was not met.
DCI officers have been dispatched to track down the suspects and rescue the victim.
The case remains under investigation, with further details expected.
