Three arrested after assault of Burundian egg seller in Kawangware

Police in Kabete have arrested three suspects accused of harassing and assaulting a Burundian national who was selling eggs in Ndwaru area,Kawamgware.

The victim, identified as Irokoze Clovis, was allegedly assaulted after a man consumed eggs but refused to pay, claiming that Clovis was living in Kenya illegally.

The suspect reportedly assaulted Clovis before fleeing into a nearby house on Sunday.

Police officers who responded to the incident arrested Teresia Wahu, Joseph Wambu and Annastacia Nungari.

The three suspects were being held in police custody pending arraignment in court.
