Police in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County have launched investigations into the disappearance of a one and a half month old baby, with two suspects arrested to assist in tracing the child.
The baby, identified as AJ reportedly went missing on Sunday from Kibolo Village in Kaptabee Sub-Location.
According to police, the child had been placed on a chair outside the family compound at about 10am by her 15 year old mother,JJ who said she left the baby under the care of her mother while she went to wash clothes.
Efforts by police and members of the public to trace the child have so far not yielded results.
Police have arrested Brian Kipruto and Everlyne Cherop Ngetkong and placed them in custody as investigations continue.
Further developments are expected as officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the baby’s disappearance.
