Over 250 local and international development partners, private service providers, product entrepreneurs, and industrial units are gearing up for a massive open-air three-day exhibition at Bukhungu Stadium next month to mark World NGO Day.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in Nairobi, attended by a battery of radio, TV and print media, the Federation of PBOs in Kenya national chairman, Stephen Cheboi, said it was all systems go as the more than 15,000 affiliate members prepare to showcase their work at the event, which will be graced by top leaders from the national and county governments.
“We are currently happy with the progress made so far in the construction of exhibition stands for more than 250 participating companies that have confirmed attendance, with space now rapidly dwindling,” Cheboi said.
He urged those interested to take advantage of the limited space remaining and come on board to be counted among those ready to uphold social and economic progress through empowerment and capacity building.
The Federation, he said, has been holding a series of meetings around the country, both physically and via Zoom, to spread the message of pushing the development agenda and the progress of society through broadly supportive initiatives that directly address the needs of wananchi, whether in banking, insurance, climate change, farming or environmental issues.
“Over 250 exhibitors are on board for the February 26–28, 2026 event, but we still have limited space for a few more, so we urge all interested parties to immediately get in touch with the head office or our branches,” Cheboi said.
