Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Managing Director Captain William Ruto has announced that all future recruitment at the state corporation will be conducted through digital platforms.
He said the move is aimed at eliminating human interference and curbing abuse in the employment process.
“We are moving away from human interference whenever employment opportunities arise at the authority,” he said.

Captain Ruto revealed that KPA has already begun transitioning to a fully digital recruitment system that will assess applicants strictly based on their qualifications.
He spoke while responding to questions from journalists during the donation of iftar food to 25 Muslim institutions at the KPA headquarters in Mombasa County. The donations were valued at Sh3.3 million.

The KPA boss assured the public of transparency in the new system, noting that cases of individuals exchanging documents or using influence to secure jobs will be eliminated.
“You will no longer hear of people meeting to influence employment opportunities,” he said.
He added that once launched, the automated system will handle all recruitment processes at the authority going forward.
