A bull stolen from the home of Homa Bay Woman Representative Joyce Atieno Osoro “Bensouda” has been recovered following a police operation in Kendu Bay, leading to the arrest of two suspects.
Police said officers from Kendu Bay Police Station acted on a tip off from members of the public on Thursday evening after receiving information that a bull matching the description of the stolen animal had been spotted at the home of top Luo musician Tom Mboya, popularly known as “Atomy Sifa.”
The OCS, accompanied by detectives from the DCI in Rachuonyo North, rushed to the homestead where they found the white-coloured bull.
During the operation,Atomy Sifa directed officers to Valentine Ogembo, 40, who was reportedly found hiding beneath a bed.
Police believe Ogembo is the person who brought the stolen bull to the homestead.
The scene was processed and documented before the two suspects were escorted to Kendu Bay Police Station, where they remain in custody pending their arraignment in court today, Friday
The recovery follows investigations into the theft of the bull, which had earlier been reported by the Woman Representative.
