Kahawa West MCA Injured in Northern Bypass Crash as Loaded Magazine Is Recovered

Kahawa West MCA in Nairobi Dr. Clement Ng’ang’a Kamaru,was injured in a late-night road accident along the Northern Bypass in Nairobi, where police also recovered a loaded firearm magazine believed to belong to the MCA.

The accident occurred at about 11.00pm on Tuesday involving two motor vehicles. One of the vehicles, a Land Rover Discovery was being driven by the MCA.

According to police, Dr. Kamaru sustained injuries and was rushed to Bridge Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

While processing the accident scene, officers recovered a magazine loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition.

Police suspect the firearm itself may have been taken by first responders before officers arrived, as the MCA is a licensed firearm holder.

The Land Rover was extensively damaged in the collision.

Police have launched investigations into both the cause of the accident and the circumstances surrounding the missing firearm.
