By Our Correspondent,Nairobi.

A man was arrested on Sunday after allegedly attempting to force his way into the restricted State House compound through Gate D in Nairobi.

Francis Murigi Ngugi, reportedly from Kiremeri Sub-location in Makuyu Division, Murang’a County, was driving a tuk-tuk registration when he’s said to have ignored orders by GSU officers manning the gate to stop.

Police said Ngugi instead drove towards barriers at high speed before officers intercepted and arrested him.

Upon questioning, he reportedly told the officers that he wanted to meet President William Ruto.

He was detained pending investigations and further action.
