President William has reaffirmed the government commitment to building an inclusive Kenya where every citizen enjoys equal dignity, rights and opportunities.
The President added that no community should be left behind in the country’s development.
Speaking after hosting more than 9,000 Muslim religious leaders from across the country at State House, Nairobi, the President said the Government has ended discriminatory vetting in the issuance of national identity cards, expanded passport and consular services, initiated the establishment of the Waqf Commission, and moved to formally recognise Madrasas and Duksis within the education system.
Ruto added that the Government is also investing heavily in historically underserved regions, including Northern Kenya and the Coast, to promote equitable development.
He said Kenya is now charting its future beyond Vision 2030 through an inclusive National Development Charter aimed at steering the country towards first-world economic status.
