Uchaguzi 2027/298 Days: Opposition urged to unite in honour of Raila Odinga

By Our Correspondent,Kangemi.

The opposition has been urged to unite and field a single presidential candidate to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election as Kenya marks the first anniversary week of the late ODM leader Odinga.

Westlands parliamentary aspirant Moses Adala, who supports the opposition faction associated with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Siaya Governor James Orengo, said the best way to honour the former Prime Minister was for opposition leaders to put aside their differences and rally behind one candidate.

Adala argued that a united opposition would stand a better chance of defeating Ruto in next year’s polls and restoring what he described as democratic leadership in the country.

He described Raila as a committed democrat who wished Kenya well, saying the late opposition chief would be happy to see opposition leaders unite and defeat Ruto at the ballot.

Adala added that such unity would honour Raila’s political legacy while giving the country an opportunity to pursue greater democratic governance and development.
