Valentine Jepkoech Nyukul Completes 80 Hour Tree Hugging Peace Mission

Valentine Jepkoech Nyukul from Poroko Location in Transmara West, Narok County, has successfully completed an 80-hour tree-hugging exercise aimed at creating awareness on peace, love, and unity among communities living in Transmara.

The symbolic act, which attracted wide attention from residents and leaders, was intended to promote peaceful coexistence, environmental conservation, and reconciliation within the region.

Her final moments of the exercise were marked by a celebration attended by several local leaders, including Kilgoris MP Julius Ole Sunkuli, Area MCA Leina Morintat, and aspirant Oiboo Peter Morintat, among other community and political leaders.

Speaking during the event, leaders praised Valentine for her courage, resilience, and commitment to peace-building, noting that such grassroots initiatives play a critical role in fostering unity and harmony in Transmara and the wider Narok County.

The initiative was widely applauded as a strong reminder of the importance of peaceful coexistence and collective responsibility in building a united and sustainable society.
