“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:5
At the cross, love was not spoken—it was demonstrated. Jesus bore the weight of sin, shame, and separation so that we could walk in freedom, healing, and peace. Good Friday (past one) reminds us that sin is costly, but grace is greater. Every nail, every stripe, every drop of blood was intentional. He chose the cross for you.
Sometimes we carry guilt, thinking we must earn forgiveness. But the cross declares, “It is finished.” There is nothing left to pay. Your past does not define you; His sacrifice does.
Today, pause and reflect. Lay down every burden, every hidden struggle, every regret at the feet of Jesus. Receive what He already paid for—peace, healing, and restoration.
Surrender fully. Don’t just remember the cross—respond to it. Let today mark a fresh beginning in your walk with Christ.
