In a world of filters, edits, and appearances, even a “fake vine” can seem productive. Just like a staged video can show results that aren’t real, many lives display “fruit” that looks convincing—success, influence, activity—but lacks true connection to Christ. Not all fruit is evidence of abiding.
Jesus makes it clear: real fruit flows from relationship, not performance. You can produce outcomes without Him, but they will lack eternal weight, spiritual life, and divine approval. True fruit carries the nature of the Vine—love, holiness, obedience, and lasting impact.
Today, examine your source. Are you abiding in Christ or just appearing fruitful? Stay rooted in Him through prayer, the Word, and surrender.
Reject empty appearances. Return to the Vine. Choose intimacy over image—and let your life bear fruit that remains
