Njenga supporters left in limbo

By Our Reporter,OlKalou.

Supporters of former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga, now a bishop, have expressed growing concern over what they describe as his unclear and unpredictable political direction ahead of the next electoral cycle.

The followers, many of whom have historically relied on Njenga’s guidance, say he has traditionally played a key role in shaping their political alignment.

However, they now claim that his recent silence and ambiguity have left them confused about which path to follow.

Popularly known as “Ndovu,” Njenga is described by his supporters as a mysterious figure whose decisions often come without prior indication.

This time, they argue, the uncertainty has not only affected grassroots supporters but also left regional political leaders guessing about his next move.

At the center of the confusion is whether Njenga will back President William Ruto’s bid for a second term or align himself with the emerging one term campaign movement reportedly supported by leaders including Rigathi Gachagua.

The lack of clarity, supporters say, is unusual given Njenga’s past pattern of openly declaring his political stance, making his current position a subject of speculation across the region.

Political analysts note that Njenga’s influence, particularly in parts of Central Kenya, means his eventual declaration could significantly sway local dynamics.
