A tragic altercation over a Sh20 mutura payment ended in the deaths of two men in Kiambiu informal settlement, Nairobi yesterday evening.
According to police at California police station,the incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m.
The deceased vendor, 64-year-old Elijah Kinyanjui, was reportedly selling mutura when a customer identified as Ochieng consumed food worth Sh 20.
When asked to pay, the suspect allegedly became agitated, grabbed a knife from the chopping board, and stabbed Kinyanjui in the chest.
The victim was rushed to City Path Medical Center but was pronounced dead on arrival.
In a swift turn of events, members of the public apprehended the suspect and subjected him to mob justice, leading to his death.
