A section of professionals from Kakamega county are vouching for return of Rachel Ameso as the county woman representative during next year’s polls.
Ameso served as the inaugural Kakamega County Woman representative between 2013 and 2017.

After her term, she pursued a bid for the Khwisero constituency MP seat but lost to the incumbent Christopher Aseka “Miradi”.
She was later on appointed to the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) on June 25, 2020, as a non Member of Parliament commissioner.
“She has been active in promoting sanitary pad donations to schools and establishing centers to combat gender-based violence,”said Lydia Akwabi.
The current woman Representative Elsie Muhanda has declared her bid for Governor seat.
