Police in Kajiado West have launched a manhunt for a motorcycle rider accused of raping a woman.
According to a report made at Saikeri police Station this afternoon,the victim WWW, a resident of Maroroi Village, reported that she had boarded a motorcycle at Saikeri Market while heading home when the rider, identified only as Musa, allegedly diverted from the expected route and led the victim into a nearby thicket.
There, he is reported to have assaulted her, forcefully tearing her clothes before committing the offence.
He also allegedly stole her keys and physically assaulted her before fleeing the scene.
The suspect, described as a neighbor to the victim, disappeared in an unknown direction after the incident.
The victim was later escorted by her brother and neighbors to Ngong Sub-County Hospital for medical attention.
Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing, with the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Kibiko handling the case.
